Porthmeor Artists Studios and Fishermen Cellars, St Ives

After 26 months of phased renovation, Symons Construction achieved practical completion at the end of October 2012. There followed an opening party headed by guest speaker Janet Street Porter to a notable audience from the many external funding bodies, south west art groups, the local community and those involved with the design and construction.

Trenance Cottages, Newquay

Very pleased to have received appointment as Project Manager for this local heritage centre project renovating and extending the listed cottages with the support of the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Clevedon Pier, North Somerset

In addition to the ongoing maintenance contract we are part of the project team that has supported the Trust in gaining successful Stage 2 Heritage Lottery Fund and Coastal Community Fund awards for the new visitor facilities.

In a very busy last quarter we have completed feasibility studies for external funding for:

• Conversion of the former CID Building and Courts on Bridewell Island, Bristol for a locally based community youth organisation
• Redevelopment of the Spacex gallery studios in Exeter
• Refurbishment of St Mary the Virgin in Brecon for the Tower Project
• Redevelopment of quay side buildings in Hayle Harbour, Cornwall
